GPC Image Remanufactured Replacement Photosmart Computer Accessories & Peripherals Review

I have bought 'universal' ink cartridges for my HP in the past and none of them have worked. I thought I'd try again before thinking about changing printers, so I bought the GPC version. I'm happy to report that the cartridge was recognized immediately by HP and prints nice dark pages with no problem.

I've been buying this brand for a while and they usually last quite well. Although I never counted the number of pages. Last time I bought 2 packs of black and saved the second one for later. But when I needed it, the return period had already expired, and the cartridge turned out to be defective. Didn't print at all and couldn't send back. So now I'm going to buy one.

Bought a set of 2, fitted one straight away and still works great in my 5650. The product has a full 2 year guarantee from date of purchase. Let's see how long they last. I have previously bought refilled cartridges (from another company) and was disappointed with the number of pages printed so time will tell if they are any good or not. New HP cartridges are so outrageously expensive that I had to try to refill them.

Used on the HP 1200 printer. After about six to eight weeks of home use (not heavy) an error message appears to check the printer's ink cartridge. Removing and reinserting the cartridge sometimes extends the life of the cartridge. Internet research shows that the HP printer has an electronic feature that recognizes a third-party cartridge and issues an error message. This is problematic and may be workaroundable. I was apprehensive about buying it because it had a lot of bad reviews. I didn't have much of a choice and decided to take a chance as 1) HP no longer makes these cartridges. 2) Other fakes have as many or even more bad reviews. 3) It was a great price. I've had no trouble getting the printer to accept the counterfeit cartridge and have printed over 50 pages so far. I have checked the status of the printer and it says it is about 90% full. I really want this product to be to my liking but it doesn't work long term with the HP 5610 as advertised. This cartridge was much more economical than branded cartridges. It worked like a dream for the first 2 or 3 issues. All that comes out is a perfect print, firm where it should be, not wet or smudged, saturated as it should be.
