I bought several of these caps to mix and buff a fiberglass boat. The hood is well finished and holds up well even at high revs. I love the design of the built-in platen, which flexes at the edges and is strong enough to buffer at an angle to the paint surface for extended periods of time. It removes a lot of dust and fibers within the first 45 minutes. Usage minutes that can be chaotic. There is probably a way to wear them to prevent this from happening.
