Pretty nice for drawing

They make a nice dark line and are easy to use. The only problem I have is the flow rate. I often get ink smears when I start or end a line, especially when working on very smooth paper like Bristol smooth paper. I don't have this problem with Microns, Unis or other thin liners and these Ohto pens seem to work better with parchment paper.

Terrible - Inconsistent lines

I love pens. to the point where people joke that I have a stationery problem. So it's safe to say that I bought more than a few pens. These are the worst pens I've used in decades. The ink is nice and black, but that doesn't matter when every pen goes by unmistakably. Unable to get serial line. Buy Sakura Micron or Copics pens and you're done - they're not worth your time or money.

Pros
  • Best in his niche
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Really great pen set here

Really great pen set here. I have 6 packs and love the different sizes. I will say that it is best not to write on post-its or on the cheapest yellow paper. I have some standard notepads with slightly thicker paper and they write amazingly well, no smudges like stickers. They were recommended to me as a journaling pen and as I work in cybersecurity I take a lot of notes and I really like these pens for the writing quality and smoothness. So if you have trouble writing on it I suggest using a…

Terrible Quality Control

I love tech pens and have been using them for a long time, as have many of the reviewers here. I had high hopes for these OHTO Graphic Inlays. I knew they were probably hit or miss: some people said they had dry, uneven hands, others said they had smooth, even hands. So I decided to buy six packs of different sized tips. my pack is even worth using and I wouldn't use it for anything other than a preliminary sketch. I don't expect a cheap pen to be great or even reliable enough to use on a…

Blackest black ink of Sturdy Fine ROLLER BALL nibs = WIN WIN

Oh my god Ohto's graphic liner has changed my mind about fine needlepoint pens and rollerballs. This is the blackest ink I have ever used. (Pigma Micron, Tombow, Windsor & Newton even my favorite varsity pins) and runs so smoothly. It lies flat on paper without the usual "braking" you get from other thin liners. I can have a heavy hand, that's an old bad habit and the Ohto just keeps running without complaint, even at 0.3mm. best advice. I don't know how Ohto managed to get this quality of…

Fast Rapidograph

Once upon a time I drew with a set of Rapidograph pens. Arguably the finest mechanical drawing tools ever made, they produced the perfect crisp pen lines that gave any work the technical feel of the mechanical drawings of the 1920s through 1980s. The downside was that they were very high maintenance. I used to dedicate every Friday to cleaning my ink liner. As computer-aided drafting came along, it became increasingly difficult to justify the time spent tending to the ink liner compared to the…

Great Pens: Drawing

As a big fan of drawing pens, I love trying new pens that come my way. These pens intrigued me because of the "needle point" rollerball, thinking they might serve my clumsiness in writing and drawing well. In that regard, these pens did not disappoint. I like the feel of their firmness both in the hand and when gliding across the page. Yes, it seems to me that when writing and drawing, they slide across the page. Sometimes I feel like other pens scratch and pull the page when I use them. Again,
