Update: After contacting Greywinds, they called me directly to resolve the pairing issue. It turns out that the remote control is defective. They said they would send a new motor and remote control. They arrived today but sent a wireless version (not the wired version I originally bought). They said if I wanted to keep this version I would have to buy a smart bridge and they would refund the amount I paid for this product.
