Electricians Torpedo Level - Greenlee L107 Review

I like this level, great for bending lines, very strong magnets, don't worry about moving it once you put it on a piece of line, It is simple, everything is perfect, it has been dropped a few times from over 25 feet but it's barely scratched and is still as accurate as the day I bought it.

I have bought two of these so far. I tried another brand, worn once and given as a gift, the pockets didn't stay closed. It has good pockets with ample storage and secure zippers so I'm very happy with it. It's only been a few weeks so I hate that it persists after washing.

I ordered this product for my electrician husband and he immediately knew something was wrong with the level. It is totally different from the picture and much heavier than it should be. After further investigation and contacts with a Greenlee representative, the level was updated. Unfortunately, the level no longer meets our expectations. Buy with caution.

I reported this item to Amazon as counterfeit. They don't seem to care that they are selling counterfeit goods. The package they sent me said 'Made in China' which was the first clue. Greenlee spirit levels are made in Taiwan. It looked exactly like the Empire level, which has nothing to do with the Greenley level in the picture or any of the three levels in the Greenley lineup. Poorly made fake.

I really like it, it has withstood a lot of falls, has good visibility and a 30 degree sensor. Magnets are good, drops because I'm clumsy. My only criticism is the placement of the corner piece that the cord is attached to in the picture. The side of the magnet is the cut out side and the cut out needs to be facing down to use the angle sensors. This means there must be enough tubing protruding from the bender to use the angle sensors. It's only useless if you're trying to offset less than 2…

I received a slightly different product than the one in the photo. There is no center cutout which greatly adds weight. It's not a big deal but if I knew about it before I placed the order it would be a deal breaker. I keep it because I can't go without a layer at work. Now that I've gotten rid of it I have a feeling it will still be at the top of the levels I used. I'm the guy at the checkpoint, but it's very close.
