Managed to have really even sugar cookie dough for cutting out cookies. The idea is good, but the practice is wrong. Even at the very ends of the rolling pin, the dough cannot be wider than the space between the strips or they will cut into the dough. They will fit but need to be twice as wide. When you ride them, they shift sideways. I had to place a silicon wedge on the outside edge of both to keep them from tipping to the side. I like that they are color coded and easy to clean. I complain that the thicker ones are very hard to hit with a rolling pin and hard to keep straight. Sometimes they get there (finally!) and they're all wavy. In other cases, they continue to roll over and lie on their side. It can be very difficult to get them the way you need them.
