Frequently plugging into Porter Cable nail gun

I have two 23 gauge PC nail guns that never jammed until I tried Grex pins in them. They are hammered every 3-5 nails with Grex pins. I will no longer buy Grex products.

Pros
  • Tape fasteners
Cons
  • Very expensive

First class pins: Pin nails

I want to buy these pins first! They're stainless steel, so I don't have to worry about rust showing up as little brown spots on my exterior projects. The pins are top notch and I will never use anything else!

Pros
  • Clasps
Cons
  • Only available in black

Impossible to use an entire strip without misfiring

In general the nails are good, it's just that each strip of nails in the box has a few ripples or waves along the length. This seems to cause the rods in the gun to break, causing misfires. I have to check almost every shot to make sure the nail was actually shot. If there are multiple misfires in a row, I have to open the gun and adjust the original stripe segments so that they line up correctly (again). If I put a full strip in the gun and only shoot a few of them when I open the gun I will…

Pros
  • Pinner nails
Cons
  • There are new competitors
