Great sledgehammers that go with sledgehammers

A few times I missed the stake and hit the handle, it fails. It is not yet broken and does not foresee any impending break. I've been using it daily for 3 months, I expect years. It's a little heavier, I thought the 16 inch handle was a little longer. The grip and feel is amazing compared to plastic/wooden grips.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Alright

The best sled I've ever owned.

As my name suggests this slide is amazing. I'm a professional welder and have used this primarily for splitting and straightening steel frames. The handle is very grippy and absorbs most of the impact. I'll go with the 12lb grip next time my fiber grip breaks.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Previously solid hammer

I bought this hammer to use with steel wedges for splitting oak. I've used it for chopping wood probably 5 times and no problem---the head is still tight. I like the cushioning effect of the rubber grip. I didn't hit the oak with the hammer handle when using it, so I can't say how strong it is.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old

In the end it's worth the effort

Just received this hammer (finally). The head does not hang straight, on the one hand "open" and on the other - "closed". Very disappointed as this condition can make it dangerous to use due to the inaccuracy created when rotating the hammer onto the opposite face. There were problems with the delivery because the delivery required a signature and my wife and I both work. Definitely not worth the money and frustration it took to get my hands on it. My advice is to choose Wilton instead. UPDATE:

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
