I still haven't gotten around to using what I bought so I can't say yes or no to that. It still feels sticky and usable, but I keep it in a cool, dry place.

Can't take this Texas summer heat. I used this on my boat and it started melting. I need to find a new alternative to meet my glue needs!

I replaced the heater core on my old Volvo 780 Bertone and used this product when reassembling the heater core assembly. It worked very well. I literally have tons of butyl tape left over, so you get a lot of tape for the money.

This tape contains very, very little, if any, butyl. Real butyl tape is like chewing gum when stretched. It has to stretch many times its length and turn into tiny strands before it breaks (like chewing gum). This just stretches to double its length before breaking. If you buy this, be prepared to redo the job or suffer water damage very soon.

GSSI manufactures more than one type of butyl tape. I thought it was an advertisement for MB-10A tape (real, real butyl). I have MH-19 tape, which is cheap duct tape full of shit putty that won't stretch and will fall apart in a few years. Worked well for my less important tasks that shouldn't take long, but won't buy it again.

This is just what I needed to re-sew our caravan, works great, goes in easily, is very sticky and seems to give a good seal. This tape is easy to cut with a spatula, just press and tear off a piece. Rolls easily in your hands and has excellent elasticity. The only negative I can say is that the box it came in was not designed for a round roll of tape. The tape arrived pretty square but still worked well. The bag it was in stuck to the tape, but not enough to damage the putty. I have a good…
