The price is right. Suitable for aquarium water purification

I have a 29 gallon aquarium full of mutt guppies and also a 10 gallon sump. The reactor is in a swamp, so don't worry about leaks. The reactor doesn't leak and for that I have a 400 GPH pump that works well with the propellers. I reduced the CO2 from 3 bubbles per second to one. You can actually see the reactor propellers crushing the bubbles until they disappear. This is very delicate and important areas like the CO2 connector can break if enough pressure is applied. Be careful. Overall it…

Works well, leaks a little, worth the money.

Super cheap, works well for "in tank" or part tank solutions, I'm a little leaky in suggesting it for external use, obviously you could put it all closed but out of the box, slightly siliconized flow a little. There was a bit of burr from the plastic mold that had to be scraped off in order for the tube to fit snugly, but given the very reasonable price, expect an extra minute or two with a razor blade. I run a few bubbles per second, I also increased it a bit more and it still works fine as…

Easy DIY mod and works great

Get this if you don't mind making a simple DIY project. It's not that hard to get this thing to work and when you do it works great. First, discard the hose adapters that came with the kit (pictured in my hand). I don't know how they thought they wouldn't leak when they put them in the box. Don't waste time with glue or sealant. Simply connect the hoses directly to the device. In my case, my filter hoses were 3/4" (inside diameter) and didn't match the 1/2" mounting points. So I took two 3/4 to

Simple, eye-catching design

My favorite design. And my favorite price, great deal. I only had one small problem and I will mention it at the end. The flow from your canister filter pushes the "fins" at the top of the high chamber into a circle, much like how a blender works. The CO2 bubbles rise to the top of this dome (because they are air bubbles) where the ribs push apart and the bubbles are whirled up, broken up and mixed by the rotating ribs. There are holes in the bottom of the chamber so the CO2 bubbles never…

99% CO2 absorption!

12/14/17 Changed to 5 stars. I haven't found anything better. I used the built in deactivator/reactor but didn't like the high pressure and cloud effect I got when it was in my return line. I tried it on my Fluval 306 suction line, it pooled in the filter and then bubbled up about every 30 seconds. I just didn't like it so I decided to try this style. I've read reviews of how well it put CO2 in the water and I 100% agree it's amazing! I only get a few very small bubbles in the tank and the…

Near Perfect Aquarium Water Treatment

I bought this after seeing several reviews on YouTube. The complaints and defects were known to me before the purchase. I chose to buy this rather than build from plumbing for two reasons; it looks better and costs less than hardware at the big store. Here is my opinion on the product. The reactor vessel looks quite thin and fragile. I've handled it with care, but it doesn't appear to be as fragile as it seems. My only complaint about the quality is the flash molding on the output tube. I…

I think it's an excellent product. I read a lot of reviews about it on the internet that didn't give it rave reviews because it seemed like it was leaking or the impellers weren't spinning. I made a DYI diffuser out of PVC and it is more expensive to make, for the price it works very well and compares so cheaply to DYI even with some simple mods I made to prevent leaks. This is way better than the atmospheric diffuser I used. I feel like I wasted a lot of CO2 with this diffuser and it needs…

1 star - arrived. 0 stars for performance! Don't waste time.

So I read a lot of reviews about this product and watched a YouTube video. Everyone said the same thing and I'm ashamed that I didn't follow my inner feelings. I've been a hobbyist for many years and this was my first attempt at setting it up the way the instructions say it should be done. At first everyone said it was leaking. Well it is, and from several places. Leaking inlet and outlet hose, leaking bottom screw at access point, and overall this is a cheap, crappy product. Now I'm saying it…
