👖 Gutermann Jeans Thread 200m - Enhanced Washed Thread for Optimal Durability Review

For repairing and sewing duck patches on jeans by hand. Withstands multiple tugs through thick material and even thicker seams. Learned the right threads and needles for the task - highly recommended by many sewers. Ordering online is a bit more expensive, but there isn't a sewing shop near me.

I darn and mend my jeans so regularly it's almost a hobby in itself. I also use Coats denim yarn but only on other denim brands at the moment. The jackets are a little lighter blue than the old, faded Levis. This Gutermann yarn comes closest to the muted blue of my old Levi jeans. The thread is a 30/70 cotton/poly blend of white and blue smaller threads. A good thing.

Although I haven't had time to sew with this yarn yet, this is the perfect color for jeans. I will be making my first pair of dark jeans once the garden is in season and the lighter color should give them a nice accent as they will fade over time. When I'm more confident, I'll try plain gold sewing thread. There is no doubt that this is a strong quality yarn, although lighter than quilting yarn, but this is what I wanted.
