This is a good jacket but luckily I read customer reviews before ordering. My dog is a toy poodle and weighs about 14 pounds. I ordered XXL and it fits her just right. Also, I may have overlooked it in the product details, but it is not suitable for tumble drying.

This coat worked better than expected! Be sure to note the size chart. Only criticism is that the adjustment straps don't stay in place. I had no problem with my pup slipping out of the harness! Keeps you warm, dry and easy to put on and take off.

I bought this coat on purpose because it has a built in harness and so far I am very happy with it. I use a harness to walk my dog and this coat has a built in harness that is also adjustable so you no longer have to struggle to get the harness and coat together. I was nervous about ordering the recommended size on the chart but it fits her perfectly. It weighs 12 pounds and multiple strap adjustments make it perfect.

We have a mixed breed puppy so it was very important to use the measurements/size chart. Get out of your head the usual S, M, L and use the existing guides (e.g. if you don't want to wear a large size but really need it). We wanted a new coat that could accommodate the dishes and that was the ticket! Our old coat only fastened under the belly with velcro, while this coat covers the belly to stay warm. Nice and fat. Well made, closes with a zipper at the back. We are very happy with this coat!

Medium runs like a tiny one. But unfortunately I love the design and colors of the coat so I will order a larger size for my boy. I had to read the size chart better and I was able to keep that step. Hopefully the new size XL will fit my 19 lb dog! It's not the company's fault. I assumed the sizes of the dogs are the same. Update: Size XL fits my 19 lb dachshund mix perfectly and is long enough to cover his entire back. I love this coat and it seems to keep him warm so I bought a second one!

When I was looking for a winter jacket for my small dog I was pleased to see the closure at the top (on the back) and the harness attached but as usual the actual purchase The decision fell on guessing because of the size!. I am a pet owner in my 60+ years and have yet to find pet clothes that match the size of a pet I am buying for back in the day!
