First of all the description doesn't say 110v or 220v but when it arrived it said 220v on the box. I have sent a message to the seller regarding this but have had no reply. It had a standard plug, so I plugged it into a 110v outlet. The light is blue but I've never heard of it being triggered by insects! I bought another insect screen (different model) from another seller and it works as it should!

This item shouldn't have any stars and shouldn't sell at all. I bought 2, put them side by side and literally watched the flies walk down the metal strips unharmed. One broken I could understand, but two bad ones at the same time - makes me think they're all just rubbish. Request a refund immediately. Also, don't be fooled by a good rating when you're reading reviews, most of which are about a different product.

I set this trap near the turtle pond in my backyard. This area of my garden has the most mosquitoes.
