My Inspiron 15's power cord has been replaced 3 times since purchase. The cable is kinked twice so the laptop will not charge. The first time this happened, I called Dell Technical Support. I opened this package today and although it was in a sealed bag as if it were new, as soon as I took it out I noticed that it was not only dusty but also dusty was covered with shag and down. Velcro. You can also say that Velcro has seen better days and has been used many times. I also noticed that there is some slime on the brick which I have circled in the attached image. Background: I used another charger I bought after my original Dell charger stopped working. The second one somehow worked: it kept my laptop powered and not draining the battery, but stopped charging it. If I was ever unplugged, the battery would work, but the charge percentage would drop.
