When I first installed my Fluval 206 I cut the return hose about 4 inches shorter and have had a 206 on a block of wood ever since. Awkward, but works. I can finally get the perfect length of hose with this replacement hose and get rid of those damn chunks of wood. The hose itself is rock solid; just a claim - the ripple is an absolute mud trap collecting all sorts of brown algae growing in the crests of the hose. It is VERY difficult to remove this dirt without a filter tube cleaner.
