Hakko A5044 Ceramic Filter FR 4101 Review

Get the job done. I use it for FR300. I use 2 of these together as one is less thick than the original that came with the FR300.

This is only a small part of Hakko, but you need them - filters deteriorate with use. These seem great. No complaints, I will buy more if I need more.

So what can I write about the filter you need if you have or use a Hakko desoldering gun. Buy them so your Hakko doesn't break and you can keep working.

What can I say other than they are original Hakko ceramic fiber filters. Fits my demolition gun perfectly as expected. Always have spares with you as they can clog up pretty quickly. One piece of advice I would give is that they are about 5mm thick so you can peel off the clogged/encrusted top layer once (maybe twice) if you are careful and reuse the filter.

The filters are about half the thickness of the original and don't last as long. UPDATE: I ordered the second batch of filters from FJKJapan and they are way better than the ones on sale. Olson trading post. The FJKJapan versions are identical in thickness to the original Hakko filters and work great. They also have a "Made in Japan" sticker. They are about twice the thickness of the ones I bought from the Olson Trading Post which are cheap imitations.
