Yes the magnet works yes we love it. I have 3 large dogs that are in and out all the time and so far this thing has stopped them.

My dog figured out how to put pressure on the top of the dog valve and it popped right away. An easy fix if you can find that the door flap and its pins that fit back into the groove are not broken. Otherwise it would be perfect.

I found this cat door to be very well constructed and designed. The manufacturer even provides you with screws of different lengths for every application as well as a template. I mounted it to a 2.2" thick metal exterior door using the longest screws that came with the unit.

Love how easy it is to install. I was concerned about how big the hole should be cut but then they put a cut mark to show you how big it needs to be. And it comes with different propeller sizes and I really like how they designed the locking function and I don't feel any wind at all. The best dog door I've ever had. Well done!

I needed to install this pet door in my patio gate so it was a two day project for me. I started with a 35" square piece of 1/2" thick plywood to which I attached the pet door according to the assembly instructions that came with it.
