LEDs are good, but they use a lot of energy! They eat batteries like crazy. The remote works, but only if you are within a few feet of the lights and have near line of sight to them. forget to be in the house to turn the lights on or off outside.

I've been looking for a suitable lighting solution for a couple of plastic outdoor pumpkins that I've had for years for a few days and have settled on this one. Each puck requires 3 AAA batteries, although I can't comment on battery life, I will say you can choose between 4, 6 and 8 hours of use each day. I've put them each in a small ziplock pouch to keep them out of the water while they're out.

It's a shame I didn't have something like this years ago! The lights used in my vintage pumpkin blow molds turned out to be brighter than we expected. I love that once you set the timer you don't have to worry about turning it on every night. I turned them on for 4 hours every night. All of October I only had to change the batteries once. Next year I will be buying more for my favorite pumpkins.

We like that they're bright, have a yellowish light, that they have a remote control with a timer function, and that they're not very tall, so the light itself is not normally visible through the jack-o-lantern cutouts. We're not entirely familiar with the timer function as we haven't had it that long, but gave enough thought when we first bought it to buy more. They come without batteries and require 3 AAA, but that seems reasonable to get that much light and ease of use.

The timer works if you figure out how to use it, the instructions don't say so. I can't stop buying them, they look amazing in blow molds all over the inside and outside of your home. I zip them up into snack-size zips to protect the batteries from rain and dew and toss them in a classic blow mold. Bucket of pumpkin candies, then use the remote to set timers in there until I need to change batteries, which usually lasts about 3-4 days at full brightness for 8 hours a day. I have eneloops and a charger so the batteries don't bother me at all. So it's worth using AAA…

Received these pumpkin lights yesterday that my granddaughter carved. These lights were very good in the way they worked. The "Flicker" option did it better. However, the product description clearly states that no batteries are included. The ONLY battery included was the remote control battery. You need 3 AAA batteries for each lamp.
