Difficult to find decorative ring and glass for lantern

I had a rusty porch lantern that needed replacing. Couldn't find it at my local hardware store but found it here. Fits perfectly, looks great. One star off because it's too expensive.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • not the best

Easy to install on electrical equipment

Was really easy to install in seconds and looks like it should. It is smaller than the description says so unfortunately there is a small space visible around the light when we thought it would cover everything. But if you're not looking, it's hard to tell.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • May cause injury

Glass too opaque

This worked great for my downlight in the hallway which must have originally been for a 1968 apartment. The glass on it is super milky, so the light isn't as bright as it should or would like. This is my first complaint but I couldn't find another lightweight cover that fits anywhere on the internet that isn't insanely expensive.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Fits exactly! - Electric

I needed a new shower panel to replace the one I had in the 1970's. This is just the outer liner with frosted glass. There are 2 spring clips on each side that fit into the brackets on either side of the light box. Remove the glass to install, then gently pull down to replace the glass. Was so happy to find something that worked with what I had!

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Not sure

We moved into an old house with 1970's square Halo recessed lights. They were dirty, the styrofoam edges were rotten, light was leaking out of the edges. This is an exact glass replacement. They are ideal for tighter spring wires. If you like it, someone will do the replacement of glazing of different styles. I couldn't find any. .

Pros
  • feels good
Cons
  • infuriates

So close to perfect!

This was exactly what I needed! Same size and nice new white color to replace all the old 1990's versions in my house. I bought one to see how it is and my wife and I were very happy when it came out just like the old one. Then we turned on the light. And the yellow cast on the glass! Just like the old ones. Yes I have a nice white board, looks new and the glass looks nice when it's off. But next to the old one. Yellow is the same. And the brightness is the same. I'm so sad

Light Effect Bates Motel

I've been looking for a replacement lens for a 1987 fixture for years. Replacement options for the 8x8 recessed downlight are extremely limited so I was happy to find one for a nicer look. The wire used to attach this device is too stiff. The lens is a little pricey for what you get, but there are really few alternatives. I decided to only shower in that light and all I could think about was the movie Psycho. There is no good reason for a heavy coating on this glass. I even upgraded to a…

Pros
  • Measures 9-3/8" long x 9-3/8" wide; actual lens size 6.5"
Cons
  • dim

Great replacement for classic lamps (with a bit of tweaking)

Perfect addition to our 1970's downstairs hallway lighting in our home. Replacing was quick and easy, simply squeezing the springs together and inserting them into the slots that held the previous springs we had taken out. (Hold on to the frame when you put the new one in, as the springs are tight and force it into place very quickly.) Like others, I've had issues with light leakage, but I didn't want to bother doing this new one Glass. After looking at the new light, I found that the problem…

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • No power

Sent back for exchange/replacement received and this time no damage

The packaging of these fins is very poor. I ordered two and both were damaged when opening the box. Message for Halo or Revain. Save yourself and your customers time and energy by either changing the packaging of these slats or assisting in shipping. There were no plastic airbags in the box they came in and it's obvious the padding was a little wrinkled. I can see where the corners get slightly damaged. You look great so I hope I can do better next time. Deploy an update. I returned the first…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Well it's a lot better than a square hole in a metal box with a bare bulb; but not much. The main issue with this item is that it doesn't support additional mounting types that your downlight may have. As this item is used for people covering jigs where the original fairing has either been damaged or lost, this fairing kit should include additional mounting hardware. I've read where others may have used springs or other hardware from a previous setup, unfortunately I have nothing left to use…
