NOT 4 QUARTS - Multi Cooker

I bought this multi cooker to replace a ten year old one. I liked it because It has an insert for dishes and is not non-stick coated (Teflon peels off after 2-3 uses). My old slow cooker had a 4 liter capacity so I figured it would be an easy replacement. nope This model has a capacity of just over 3 liters which is not enough for many of the recipes that filled my previous 4 liter slow cooker. Sending this back in exchange for the 7 liter version hoping it's at least 4 liters! Also the 4 quart

An improvement on my old multi cooker

I chose this Hamilton Beach multi cooker because it got better reviews than my original multi cooker. Glad you did! Like my old slow cooker, this is a basic model with simple manual (not digital) heat settings. The lid is made of thick glass, not plastic, so you can see the contents better. It also holds steam better when cooking (my old lid leaked). I also like that the pot rolls so it's easy to move around the counter when empty. It's heavy enough to remain fairly stable in use. The outside…

Great croc, great job!

I really like this bowl. The only thing I don't like is that it's too big for my family of two. I thought it would be big but it's hard to fit in my fridge. I use my old pot to keep the food I'm cooking in the new pot, so that's not a problem. The low-medium-high heat works very well, and if you've had one of the latest versions from another brand (crockpot, smaller, silver with black pot) you know what I'm talking about. So I was looking for a really good shard that would work as it should at…

Bachelor's Guide - Multicookers

My ex couldn't cook a roast to save her life. I don't know why I thought I could, but turns out I can toast bliss. As a frame of reference (and to learn from my experience) here is what will likely interest you. If you buy a 4-quart slow cooker, that's enough for a frying pan that weighs about 4 pounds. You could probably put a 4.5lb cannon in there, but it will be very convenient and may not work as well as you would like. I have kids with sunken feet and I think I will be looking for a 6…

Excellent purchase! - Kitchen and dining room

I did a little research and read the reviews before deciding to buy this multicooker. I'm so glad I bought it! I used to have a slow cooker with these "latches" on the lid that made it travel safe. The problem with them is that there is a rubber "seal" around the lid that is difficult to clean, and the "latches" cannot be used during cooking. I was looking for a slow cooker to take to parties, but I didn't need all the fancy digital stuff, including the locks on the lid. This multi cooker was…

Good value for money, one shortcoming

Due to Covid we have started to cook at home. We have a large pot but to cook for two we needed a smaller pot and ended up with a 2 liter pot. it turned out to be only 1.5 liters, so we need something in between - that 4-liter pan, which is actually 3.5 liters. Our large pot also holds less than the advertised size - so obviously it's a 'thing' in the bottom of the pot, the rated capacity is less than the actual volume - you get the point. However, I am very happy with it - the porcelain is…
