🍵 Hamilton Beach Electric Tea Kettle 40998: Cordless, Auto-Shutoff, Stainless Steel Review

I am very disappointed with this purchase. I threw it away yesterday because it's leaking now. That was not enough even for 6 months of daily use.

Works great and heats up quickly. We mainly use it for tea making and it makes the process very quick and smooth. Cools down pretty quickly and can be stowed away in no time at all. The cord wraps around the bottom storage compartment for easy storage.

Purchased this unit in November 2016. It only lasted until March 2017. Faulty switch. I called customer service to get a replacement and they said I would have to pay shipping since it has a limited warranty. The shipping cost is more than half of the cost of the goods. It's not worth it.

Ordered June 23rd. The product failed on September 3rd. All manufacturer's instructions were followed. Only used to heat water. The malfunction appeared in the following form: the device did not turn off. Woman noticed the smell of burnt plastic. Found water all over the counter as if the structural integrity of the block had been broken. Due to the Mfgr guarantee (shipping paid by the owner) it's not even worth replacing. I do not recommend.
