Still works like it did then! We probably use this mixer about twice a month, more often during the colder months when we're baking more. So we're not in high demand, but we're not just collecting dust either.

This works fine but I want the speed to be slower than the speeds that are there. It's pretty fast so there are some things I can't do because it's so fast! So I have to be careful how much is in the bowl or what I'm doing ends up everywhere. Can't complain about the price and it works and I'm still using it.

I have a stand mixer (model 64650) with the same mixer, but it burned out on a very thick batter. I was hoping to find a replacement blender that would attach to the stand, but some reviews said that wouldn't happen. NOT CORRECT! It popped right onto my stand mixer and I'm so excited I don't have to throw it out. Please note that this new mixer does not come with dough hooks but with the addition of regular whisks which the stand mixer did not have.

I throw it away after 11 months. The plastic base is cracked in several places and broke off with normal use. We only use a hand mixer a couple of times a month on average. A few months ago, the backrest fell off when attaching/detaching from the storage basket. I glued it back great. My wife was mixing mashed potatoes today and the front just broke off during use, parts got into the mush forcing us to throw it all out. I have been working with hand mixers for many years. Ironically, I have arthritis and my hands can hurt; However, I'd rather take a hand mixer with me than pull out my big mixer. This is definitely one of my favorite hand mixers. Although it's not very light, I can hold it comfortably. It is powerful and perfectly beats protein. Very very very bad smell emanating from this blender. I've been wearing it for over three months and it still smells the same, with the same intensity. It smells of metal and chemicals, is extremely unpleasant and spoils the whole experience when baking or cooking. My daughter leaves the kitchen as soon as I take the blender out of the cupboard. I'm getting a new blender for Christmas :) I also found the lowest speed to be too high for blending my favorite cookie recipe: chocolate chip cookies.

This is a very nice retro style blender with a great carrying case that snaps open and holds whisks etc. It's working great so far and is better than I expected. I am very happy with this purchase.
