The description states that this is a BPA-free glass food processor bowl. I just opened it and it's plastic. I went to the manufacturer's website and it doesn't say the container is glass, but it doesn't say it's BPA-free either. Not used yet. Bought this blender 10 years before the Hamilton Beach blender. I accidentally broke it by dropping it in the sink. First, the portion of the container is wider and shorter than my old version, which should help with mixing since I make my own butter and didn't have to "open" the air pocket that forms when the cream starts to whip.
