I bought this toaster for my RV. It's narrower than most in width, so it doesn't take up much counter space. Plus, it fits easily in a storage compartment. Some people say it's toasted on only one side, but I think the handle markings between the grill and the toast are a little blurry. Love it. I've used a lot of toasters and find them really handy instead of preheating a proper oven. This thing is nice and compact, and the footprint on the table isn't much bigger than the toaster I replaced it with. The only thing I have an issue with that is very minor is that there is only one heating element. It tends to cook food more thoroughly in the center, which I learned the hard way when an edge of my toast was burned. Keep in mind that this is compact so there really isn't much…

This is an update of my previous review found in the next two paragraphs. It worked quite well for about 11 months, then the top heating element became uneven, glowed very bright somewhere, got dimmer somewhere. It eventually burned out, and at that point I discovered the element couldn't be replaced, so throw it away and buy something other than Proctor Silex.
