I was expecting them to be at least as absorbent as cork coasters, but they're not even as good. Water collects on these coasters and drips from the coaster onto the table. Great and cute coasters! You have very nice packaging. There was a piece of styrofoam between each stand and the sides of the box to keep them from hitting each other in the box. Coasters aren't too heavy and work great with all the cups and mugs I use. With some coasters, the adhesive doesn't feel very strong and there are spots where the cork detaches from the coaster.
