Well made but bulky

Rulers work well but are quite bulky as they are very wide. My long arm doesn't have a stitch adjuster so it can be difficult to hold on to those tight arches, especially the smallest (middle) part. Not enough room for fingers to hold it well. They're well made, but I'd recommend using non-slip grips on the back. The price is good for what you get.

Pros
  • HQ Half Round Ruler Set
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I think you'd better buy circle templates if you want to make.

The largest and smallest half circles are difficult to use as one is too big and the other too small and uncomfortable on my Avante line. The lines are well marked, well done. I've tried arcs, semicircles and used them as a guide for crooked leaves, quill stems and semicircles. I think you are better off buying circle templates if you want to create whole circles.

Pros
  • Handi Quilter, Inc
Cons
  • Expensive

Uncomfortable to use on a sedentary long arm

sedentary long arm like the HandiQuilter Sweet Sixteen where you move the quilt and not the head with a needle, you'll want to know, there just isn't enough acrylic to hold on to. I bought some inexpensive round templates from another seller which are much easier to use on a sit up machine, unfortunately they don't have the hand markings that craft rulers do... HandiQuilter's own website has them not, but I've seen a few HandiQuilter reps use them, including one who taught at the Houston Quilt…

Pros
  • Adequate size to accommodate a 1/2 inch bouncing foot
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
