Excellent products for painting

R&F makes the best encaustic environments. I've relied on them for years. It's worth noting that they also offer great videos on how to use their products.

Use of Plaster Engraving

I am an encaustic artist. I use a combination of encaustic gesso to prepare wood panels when I just want to work with paint, a combination of encaustic and oil paint. More flexibility!

Love the gesso, not the seller!

I love gesso but will never buy from this store again (All Things Creative by Hyatt)! The box was undamaged, but the airbags even leaked some paint. Very poor! Obviously used before!

Dear my ass!

Mix well 1/2 - 1 C marble powder (4# @ 18.00 - Frederix) and 1 quart plaster of paris (1 gallon @ 20.00 - Sargent). The initial cost is the same as 1 quart Encaustic Gesso. You now have enough left over to make over 3 liters. Savings = over $120. Find out.

There are few brands of encaustic accessories of any kind and R&F is the best. This gesso is for a price. I know you might yell, but it's different than regular color gesso. The consolation is that it is long. I don't know why, but it's really very important. It has an almost sandy color that you can feel as it dries. I think this helps the encaustic paint and medium stick to the wood. You won't find a better or cheaper brand. Choose the best
