Great letter and writing learning tool

This is a fantastic letter and writing tool for kids. It's amazing how each letter can consist of four shapes! It's also nice that the set comes with a mini pen that can be used to trace letters, which is handy for small hands. I have used it with many special needs children and they all enjoy learning with it.

Pros
  • Durable 2 oz PE bottle
Cons

Great concept, poor quality

My 3 and 5 year olds love drawing letters without a pencil. The idea of designing all letters in just four shapes makes writing letters more intuitive. But the magnetic board is of very poor quality and not worth the price. The marks disappear almost instantly, making them almost invisible at the end of the letters. I could buy it again, but certainly not for $20. Maybe half the price.

Pros
  • 18 gauge applicator needle
Cons
  • Unsafe

Very small, very similar to an engraving with stamps.

Much smaller than I expected. I think it was my fault for not checking the size. The quality is ok. Stamps don't attract most magnets, so to get a dark letter you'll either have to leave it there for a while or stamp it a few times. The idea is great and my son loves it that's why I'm giving it three stars. It's quite expensive for this size and quality. It's more like a $9.99 product - definitely not worth more.

Pros
  • A 2oz bottle
Cons
  • Damaged

This Handwriting No Tears product was recommended to me by my child's Occupational Therapist to help with letter recognition and pre-writing skills. Here are my first-hand thoughts on it. THE GOOD: 1.) It's hard to find really good quality wooden stuff to teach kids (besides Melissa and Doug's). I was pleasantly surprised at how well these wood-magnet hybrids not only work on the board, but also stick. My child's occupational therapist has been using them for YEARS and although they look like…

Pros
  • Durable 2 ounce PE bottle
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions
