Solder does not flow

I am an experienced artist, I work a lot with copper. I tried using this flux to solder a solid copper ring that I made to a piece of copper sheet. I couldn't get the solder to flow. I've experimented with other pieces of copper, used different gases and tips, trying to find the right temperature to make it work. Vain. He wiped the rubbish off the ring and copper sheet. Used a different flux with the same solder. Worked great. I cannot recommend this product.

Doesn't work for me!

I tried to use this flux to make jewelry on copper tape and it didn't work for me. Of course I'm just starting out and may have made some mistakes, but when I switched to an injection needle flux it worked great. Maybe it needed to be mixed thoroughly with the brush that came with it? I did not do it. But the solder just stuck together and rolled off when I tried to use it. So, I'm giving two stars in the hope that it was just user error and I'm a dumbass. Much luck!

Working well but dirty on delivery

Very thick. Not sure if it was because it was lying around, but I had to dilute it a bit to use it. The bristles of the brush are deformed and useless for small items, so I use a small brush to apply. Good thing the bottle was sent in a ziplock bag. There was dried flux with a crust inside the bag due to a loose lid. It could be due to summer transports and thermal expansion, but it was a mess that needed cleaning up.

Pros
  • Exterior care
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Lemon Product, Bad Apple Seller.

Please note the seller's NO REFUND policy even for defective goods. I bought this flux but it was old and very dry. The flux was so thick that it could not be applied evenly. It was just lumpy and a waste of money, time and effort. The solder doesn't flow at all, leaving a mess of poorly bonded metal and flux residue that needs cleaning to start over. I tried to return but this seller doesn't endorse their goods. It's just bad business and bad customer service. It's too late for me, but save…
