As a 6.5ft woman I have always bought men's Hanes socks for work but these are different. I threw away the bag they came in but they are clearly not cotton. The material is thinner and smoother than before. They didn't shrink at all, they were too big.

These socks are very soft. Also, they don't leave tons of lint on my son's toes after wearing them all day like other socks do. I'm not sure how perfect they are for a size 9. My son wears a size 3 and they fit well but I don't know if they stretch to a size 9. I can say that these socks will last a long time too.

I read some other reviews about the inaccurate description but decided to give it a try. THE OTHERS ARE RIGHT. Not only is the materials list completely different (mine is 0% cotton for example), but even more egregiously, these socks don't have the "comfortable toe seam" I was looking for my son.
