Harbor Breeze Universal Ceiling Control Appliances Review

We live 180 miles from the nearest store. Bought 4 fans and these controllers for our new home on the recommendation of the Lowes salesman. After reading the instructions you will find that the #0331107 fan is NOT compatible with the solid state speed controller that it is. Called Lowes/Harbor Breeze support. No, you cannot use them together. Very unhappy.

We just bought a Lowes Harbor Breeze fan (#0044622) and it came with a wireless remote control. Not a big fan of the wireless remote because you either can't find the remote or the weird battery may be dead. I bought this wired wall switch, also from Lowes, and installed it today. The instructions are clear but I've done this before so I know what I'm doing. Basically you need 120V (12-2) at the fan assembly and 3 wires (12-3, plus ground) to the wall switch. It's easy to understand from there.

I've installed two of these so far and they work great with my fans. I bought 3 of these from Lowes who sell them for less than $10 each (until 6/23/2016). The third one I bought was apparently sent back as it had no bolts or nuts. I didn't worry about the price. It turns out that medium and high don't work here.
