I was very happy to find a longer screw to install a new type of electric fence insulator on an old cedar post. They work much better than nails and are much easier to build an electric fence.

I bought them to install crossovers in the case. This allows the crossover to sit about 3 inches above the body, allowing insulation to pass underneath. Solves two minor problems: the presence of a disturbance in the loudspeaker sound barrier and solves any problem with heat build-up in the crossover.

These 5 inch screws matched the display and did the job. They are all 5 inches tall and I have had no issues with extra coating or other blemishes. My only concern is that I wish they came with a torx head instead of a phillips head. Because of their length, they bend slightly when screwed in, which can cause the bit to come loose and the screw to break.
