Sturdy and Versatile Dowels for Woodcrafts

This pack of hardwood dowels is a must-have for any Arts and Crafts enthusiast. According to my experience, these dowels are incredibly sturdy and versatile, perfect for various woodworking projects. The wood is of excellent quality and has a smooth finish, making it easy to work with. However, the only downside is that the pack only includes one size and length of dowel, limiting its range of applications. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for high-quality dowels for…

Pros
  • Strong and durable for various woodworking projects.
Cons
  • Difficult to cut or shape if needing customization.

Incorrect

Received dowels are 1.22" - 1.24" (conical) in diameter. 8 in.") is off by almost 1/8 inch. The preamble to this specification with the word "approximately" does not adequately address the issue of tolerances as the actual size is much closer to 1-1/4" lies than to 1-1 /eight".

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Very slim and ready to use.

Very sleek, straight out of the box. They take paint and stains very well. I was also able to make some nice light colored buttons out of it just by rubbing it with tung oil (and steel wool between coats). I'm having trouble identifying the wood species. Probably birch, but the grain on mine raised doubts. Possibly Chinese. I've seen what I think is similar to "Chinese southern elm". Unless you turn them on a lathe or make something else out of them, they would make really good youth batons…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Off fashion
