Excellent Quality Hardwood Pins!

When I tried this insect pinning kit, I was extremely impressed with the hardwood pins included. The variations in height made it easy to properly display each insect specimen. The pins are sturdy and of high quality, perfect for any entomology enthusiast. However, the price may be a bit steep for some buyers. Overall, a great addition to any industrial and scientific collection.

Pros
  • Provides a unique and natural look due to varying heights of the pins.
Cons
  • May cause difficulties in installation and lead to an uneven surface.

Ideal for students

I am a graduate entomologist and speak from experience with various anchoring blocks. Sturdy construction, very comfortable to use. Gave 4 stars because some of the holes weren't drilled to the exact standard depth, but for the price it gets the job done.

Pros
  • Insects and Insect Kits
Cons
  • Base required

Don't buy this

All the holes were the same depth. Completely useless as a mounting block. I know they all look different depths in the picture, but as far as I can tell they pressed these brass tubes into holes in the front and drilled the same depth behind each one.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Can't remember
