Glad I bought the 12 cup version - see updates

Picked up at Revain Locker on Monday 17th December and made Organic Gingerbread Cupcakes on Friday 21st December. I was surprised I made enough to fill all the cups on my first bake. After baking, every muffin popped out. VERY easy to use and clean. I was going to get a 6 cup model but I'm very glad I got 12 cups instead! I will bake muffins and brownies in it. Good product! Update 5/23/2020: Mrs. Anderson's 12-cup silicone cupcake maker isn't cracked or splintered anyway. I've been baking…

I'm so glad I bought this!

I was skeptical about silicone jaws and read bad reviews. I also wasn't sure if the silicone would actually brown my food on the underside. Well today I made some muffin sized egg cups (like personal quiches) and they are PERFECT. They stuck to my old Teflon pan, burned in places and eventually wouldn't come out of the pan. This pan is amazing! The eggs were lightly browned on the bottom and sides, just how I wanted them, they slipped out of the pan easily (no oil was added), and the pan felt…

Not as good as I expected

My first complaint about the product is that it gives off a headache inducing odor during use. I haven't seen anyone comment on the smell yet so I'm wondering if it will go away and/or maybe I'm oversensitive. The second misfortune is that they were just as non-stick for me as they were for others. I lightly oiled the cups before using them for the first time because it says so on the packaging. I didn't use all the cups and thought maybe the smell was from the oil on the empty cups. Even…

Good Silicone Cupcake Mold

Since my old cupcake molds have been looking a little shabby lately, I decided to use this silicone mold, mainly because I needed a non-stick surface without chemicals sprayed onto the surface. (I have a bird, and nonstick surfaces can release toxic fumes into the air.) This pan turned out to be just what I needed. The manufacturer recommends placing this pan on a baking sheet so it stays firmly in place as you slide it in and out. While this makes things easier, I've found this cupcake pan to…

cooking muffins! in kitchen & dining room

Think outside the box! This wonderful utensil isn't just for cupcakes, I've also used it to bake cookies (cookamuffins). Well, your silicone skillet will smell like this too, and you're wondering if there's any dish soap left in it. Update 11/11/14: I used this to make dolls. My 4 month old Doodle got sick and refused to eat and I've read that broth can encourage him to eat. Well, since that day, I've been making her whole organic chicken broth. Once the broth is ready, I let it come to room…

Disappointing Bakeware

Heeding the advice to only buy 100% silicone molds, I ordered this mold to replace a previous set of silicone molds that worked great but were worn out (more on that in a moment). Now I'm going back to metal pans. That's why. The HIC pan has terrible non-stick properties. If batter is even slightly runny or has a lot of fruit in it, expect half of some muffins to stick to the pan and their top halves to come off. Now you can say keep the dough drier and don't put as much fruit in it. But in the

Could not be better!

Read all the mixed (good and bad) reviews about it before you buy. Basically, I wanted the cupcake pan to make cupcakes like this so I didn't have to use cupcake liners. With the typical metal/teflon cupcake liners, I felt like I had to use cupcake liners. When I first received this product, my biggest concern was that it would not be as non-stick as advertised. I followed the instructions that came with it to prepare the pan for use. You wash it with mild soap and water, let it dry, and then…
