Poor clarity for viewing in the sun, although it's fairly dark. Good for welding.

Bought to be able to see eclipses, sunspots and other solar phenomena and it's dark enough for safe viewing but the glass has ripples when looking through it. It's obviously dark, but what you see through the filter isn't very clear, unfortunately the sun distorts it. The price was fair, but I wasn't expecting poor image quality. I'm sure it will be great for welding!
