Works well!: Pest control

These masks are fine! I have changed many fly masks over the past 20+ years. and while i like how stretchy and comfortable they are for the horse, they are not durable at all. I got a hole in this mask within the first hour of putting it on. My geldings love to follow each other around the pasture. and they kept taking off their masks. So I wear their halters over the masks that hold them down. I think this would be great for stable horses especially if they don't rub on everything. I really…

Ok but I prefer Professional's Choice

I decided to buy four of these instead of Professional's Choice as the Pro Choice I got last year is a little worn here and there. The fit of these is not exactly the same. They have a slightly longer feel and the fabric is a bit thicker but not as stretchy which makes for a looser fit in my opinion. Horses lose them more often than Pro Choice. They were a bit cheaper but next time I'll go back to Pro Choice. They may be more durable, but I prefer the ones that stay put, even if it means I have

Easy On and Easy Off

I wish it would work, bugs already get into horses ears and cause ulcers so I rushed to order a mask for each of my horses. The masks were easy to put on as they are very stretchy; however, not a single mask was present within 8 hours of initial application. One was found in a smooth-sided round trough of my mare and the other was found in the grass in the middle of the pasture. Obviously these masks come off easily - too easily; In fact, a cow could probably knock him off his head in no time…

No flies in eyes and ears!

I LOVE the Harrison Howard Elastic Fly Mask! My horses have had issues with traditional velcro masks when worn daily which leave marks on their noses and jaws and allow flies to crawl under the fastener and buzz around in the mask. These elastic masks fit snugly and don't rub at all! They are also tougher. The only downside I see is that unless your horse is used to handling his nose and mouth on a daily basis, he will be hard to come by. Think face tights but not so tight! Also, if you have a…

I wish the mesh was a little better quality

Overall this is one of the best masks I have to know. I bought 7 of them all for the same horse. The design is great, but the execution could be better. Now please remember that I'm putting her on an 1800 pound Percheron teddy bear that loves to scratch and that's where friction comes in, no pun intended. The mesh is too light to withstand ANY rubbing without snagging or tearing. And my boy's eye mesh could have been fuller so his lashes weren't permanently meshed. We don't even get into the…

Excellent quality, suitable for pest control

I have used different brands of elastic fly masks and I really like this brand. It's cheap and fits well. One of the biggest problems with elastic fly masks are the eye holes. MANY masks are sold with a mesh that is placed too close to the horse's eyes, causing irritation or even injury. These masks have darts in the mesh around the eye holes to keep the mesh out of the eyes and enough material to keep the mesh out of the eyes. Personally, I like to turn the masks inside out so the seams of the
