As for sticky threads, which are worse with some colors than others, DO NOT be tempted to cut sticky threads until you have COMPLETELY finished the tack and removed it from the loom. I like the first buttonholes that come with my loom. You get grade A loops in the kit but if you buy bags in bulk like I bought 4 large bags they are ripped and torn. I love using my loom. I like the new larger loom that can make pot holders that you can use. I ordered two colored packs along with the loops that came with the loom. These loops are much nicer than the synthetic ones that were offered when I was making little potholders on my grandma's loom as a kid.
