They will become softer after the first few uses. They are very easy to clean and all the soap washes off. They're not as porous as a sponge (although they hold the soap until you wash it off). These are my favorite body washcloths. They are very rough and I feel like I actually peel when I use them. The $6 for $5 deal I found with them was pretty amazing too. Maybe because I was charged more than $5. It wasn't much, but it's bad enough. Revane says you get the stuff in 2 days only to have to wait a week for it. I'd also rather not worry about the cost of the stuff. I would give another star for the same price. But you know. Great product and everything.
