The price seems good but the instructions are so difficult to understand. NOT EASY to install. We wasted our money because just when we thought it was all set and ready to close the lid of our camper bed, the shock absorber exploded and is now shattered on the camper floor. Nothing we can say about using it at the moment. We should have saved our $50 and just applied it to the cost of a professional install.

This lift saved my back! So happy my husband installed this on our RV bed. I now have full access to the lower storage and can lift the entire bed with one hand. LOVE IT! He installed it in about an hour, but mainly because he had to make some extra brackets for the lift out of scrap wood. I used to never be able to use the storage space under the bed because I could never lift the mattress. Happy camper now!

The only reason I'm giving it (4) stars is because Hatchlift customer service sucks. The only way to ask them questions is via email - honestly, you can't photograph your RV on the phone. I have emailed them TWICE in 3 days to give them enough time to reply. No Answer. But as for the product, it works fantastic. I ordered an Extra Small Bedlift Kit for my small under-truck storage compartment. I figured the "Extra Small" in the description meant the gas spring would be the size of a light platform with a partial bed. When I had assembled the system sufficiently for testing, I could not compress the gas springs.
