When I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the materials, especially the coating on the handles. After washing and choosing one of the three plates, I made a cheese puree with a grater. The sewing foot worked smoothly and the potatoes came out the other end neatly. I've found that cold potatoes work better than warm ones. Washing by hand after use was also easy and can also be washed in the dishwasher.

At first I found the products were sticking to the disc and it was a mess. Then I started to lubricate the disc and plunger with some oil so that the potatoes would easily release from the tamper and disc. I was going to add some butter to the puree anyway, so this method worked for me. I really wish there was a built in "latch" so the drive isn't so blurry and stays in place during use.

This morning I applied this stuff to potatoes for the first time and got great results. As with anything with removable dies, it can be a little annoying if they stick to the plunger, but for me it's worth the extra molds and easier cleaning. I also bought it based on reviews based on how durable it is as I tend to break more fragile items and it seems like it's strong enough to last in my tool box for a while.
