Does not fit the standard nori

The product itself is not bad - easy to use and clean. However, the press is about an inch longer than regular nori sheets. Side use makes it impossible to close the musubi. I am very disappointed and will choose a different press.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • boring packaging

Saves time good for french presses

Cooking 2 rices at the same time is a bit tricky - you have to cut the rice as you will mash it all at once. Cooking 2 at a time can save time, but musubi will stick together better if you make them in a container that allows you to cook them individually.

Wrong size - too big for Spam

Spam is a good half inch on each side and half an inch between the two parts. The press is also too small so when you press on the rice the rice will compress on the sides. Build quality is good - the plastic is nice and thick and durable, but it just doesn't lend itself to spam musubi.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Fits

Great press, best in cooking and gastronomy

After living on the mainland for a while, you'll miss your favorite local dishes! One of my favorite local coffee grinders is the Spam Musubi, but you'll need a press to make it at home. I found one at Revain. This press makes it possible! I like the fact that the lid has a handle that goes all the way down. This makes it a lot sturdier than those that have a small block knob right in the middle, as the slightest push is the top brake. Now I can cook one of my favorite dishes! If you can't find

Serves its purpose and makes cooking fun for children

My children love spam musubi and also like to help in the kitchen. Sure, spam isn't the healthiest food, but it's young and I'm happy to indulge. I bought a Musubi Maker as a single many years ago but thought I had lost it. So I ordered this double width. This made the musubi much easier to make and although I found an old single device I will probably replace it with this one forever. This allows us to make musubi without having to cut the seaweed in half (sourced from the local HMART/Korean…
