Hawk Performance HB453Z.585 Ceramic Brake Pads for Enhanced Performance Review

Purchased for 2018 Civic Type R. Fits great. Quiet and much less dust than original pads. I don't know how they will behave on the track, they are not designed for that. Excellent last for road use of the type R.

WOW what a difference compared to stock pads. There's a lot less brake dust and you can feel those pads grabbing quite a bit. Not sure if they will be good on track or not but for normal road riding I will take them again if needed.

I've never given bad reviews but I've tried everything to close them and now I'm noticing a slight drop in braking performance. spend $100. I have the same rear, but rear is quiet. Squeaks under light braking at low speeds.

Installed these new pads and discs and after two weeks of use the brakes started to squeak. Disassembled and fitted a brake muffler on the back of the pads to prevent this. Nothing. These pads also pierced my new rotors pretty badly. I had high hopes for them based on the reviews and recommendations. Unfortunately disappointed

I bought these for a 2011 Subaru WRX STI and they fit fairly easily. I would save time if the product description stated that new gaskets were included. I took the time to clean up the old ones. The brakes are very soft and quiet, but stopping power is good. After installing I drove the car on country roads just to test the stopping power and they seemed to work fine.

DO NOT buy these. I've had them for 9 months, they've been creaking for 2 months. I've tried reducing the squeak but it won't go away. I figured that for a moderate amount of money I would get a decent quality product. I received an inferior product to some of the cheapest products. I'm a certified technician and have also worked in a tire shop, I would never sell/recommend them to a customer. It's too late to return now. I would say look elsewhere than "Hawk" products. I bought these pads with Centric High Carbon 125 rotors. Pedal feel is great and they seem to bite better. I only changed the front brake discs and pads and left the rear ones as they haven't had to be changed yet. This way I can compare noise and dust levels. They have slightly more noise than the stock and noticeably more dust than the stock. That doesn't mean they produce a lot of dust, just that there's more of it compared to sewage. I usually wash my bikes every 2 weeks but I can wait up…
