This idli stand is inferior. Not only is the claim that it's stainless steel wrong, the stand is poorly constructed and unwieldy. They don't understand that the hot idlis need to be lifted and the lid is too tight and close to the metal. I had to throw these away. upset. I trusted the Hawkins brand and they failed me.

Very bad quality. The moment I put it in hot water, the coasters lost their color and the empty plates started to lose their color, it happened to me even when I was doing nothing. The plates are very small, you can make mini idisli out of them. There were no instructions or a cookbook in the box. I'm assuming it's a return.

I used this idli coaster once (3 batches idli). The idli stand has changed its color. It looked gray and black. I washed it (without washing dishes) and tried my best to remove this staining, but the metal itself changed color. I feel that when I cook on this idli rack the metal reacts with the food and can be dangerous. I am returning this product. DO NOT buy this

Idli-G10 5L Stove Rack is NOT a mini stove. This is a regular size and very good quality idli stand. Hawkins can't be wrong. I've been using this for decades. I suspect the Idli 3 liter stove stand might be smaller based on other reviews. However, a 5 liter stove stand is definitely NOT a mini stand. Hawkins, you are doing a great job and thank you.
