So far so good - clutches

Used to install a mechanical cooling fan on a 2004 Grand Cherokee. Worn like an amulet. If anything changes I will update my review.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Can't remember

Fake Not Genuine Hayden Clutch

I don't know who placed this order but the fan clutch I received was made in Korea. Definitely not an American Hayden product. I only noticed it when it crashed a few days after installing it. When I examined it for damage or the cause of failure, I found it. Made in Korea. I will be back and buying local as the Hayden products are amazing it's just not what I got.

Pros
  • Nice Packaging
Cons
  • Discontinued Model

Good price in Fans & Parts

Easy to change and straight fit works as it should. I've seen reports of the clutch fan making noise. If the fan is noisy, the fan clutch is working and sucking properly! If you're replacing a fan clutch, it's fair to bet it's failed and not doing its job, so you're overheating, or you're overheating and that's why you can't hear the fan.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

A little LOUD: Replacement parts

So I think this fan clutch works as intended. It's winter now so I don't want to judge them too harshly in these conditions. When I start the truck on a cold (below freezing) morning, this clutch moves a lot of air. My little truck sounds like a big city bus pulling away. After a short drive from my area to Main Street, the clutch is much quieter and stays quiet throughout the ride. I've been reading about these clutches and obviously it takes some time for the fluid to circulate evenly inside.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some cons
