Not suitable for computers and accessories

HDMI extender does not work at all. Communicated with seller tech support, tried different ethernet cables - no picture, no sound. The manufacturer promises to replace the HDMI receiver, I hope it helps. As soon as I receive it I will test it and update the rating.

Great for video but doesn't return audio at all.

Video works well for everything except Dolby Vision HDR which is claimed, so no complaints. The problem is that the sound isn't actually sent back to the amp whether ARC or optical is used. I took the extender out of the equation to make sure my TV and amp would handle it properly, and they do. Ideal ARC audio and optical audio in this scenario. By putting the expander back into the equation, all sounds are gone, regardless of configuration (ARC or SPDIF). Too bad. I'm waiting for an email from

ARC works! Suitable for external TV tuner

Exactly as advertised. I needed a way to connect the ARC HDMI from the component closet to my TV in the next room. Luckily I had CAT 5 cables between rooms and used this device. Others have worked for the HDMI port, but this is the only one that has worked for using ARC. Beautiful 4K picture, great sound!

At least it has a Toslink

The arc would fall and then come back again. Could never get it to work 100%. Fortunately, this extension also supports the Toss link, which I ended up using to send the audio back to the receiver.

Decent extension cord.: Computers and accessories

Very good extension cord. If you have a receiver, simply connect your multimedia device to the receiver first, and then use an extension cable between the receiver and a display device such as a TV or projector. So you don't have to worry about sound problems. It is also possible to connect to SPDIF as shown in the diagram on the back of the extender. But you lose the ability to transmit high-quality sound.
