I assumed 7/16 was the inside diameter but that seems to be the measure of its flattening. The box says 5/16 to 7/16 but the website says 7/16. It's more like 5/16 but overall it works but it's not what I expected.

Used this to protect the wiring on a 30 year old Ford Ranger project. I've had issues with cables contacting hot areas and breaking. Used to protect the Painless fuel pump relay wiring. Also, the wires to the O2 sensor usually burn out in the exhaust.

Excellent product for protecting under-hood cables and other heat-sensitive components from the intense heat generated by a running engine. I have used several different sizes of tubing, tubing and cable and they all meet my expectations. That looks good too.

I have used this heat shield on my V8 Ford Ranger and after almost 2 years it is holding up great! Zero complaints from me! I would recommend this heat shrink tubing to anyone who needs to protect rigid pipe, hose or wiring from excessive engine or exhaust heat. I've used it for fuel lines, engine cables, etc. Very good material!
