Type of review

Good price, average quality, average spring rate. Slightly less solid plastic cases than the ones I had before. One of the 6 broke after holding firewood for 5 minutes. The remaining 5 survive normally. Another problem is that the red contact pads bend backwards and sometimes fall off at the ends of the jaws and need to be replaced or at least rotated for use. I can try to find adhesive material to hold them in place.

Good clamping force

High clamping force. A bit cheap in a plastic handle. The damn ends will pop out if you don't align them properly. Overall they work great for the price. 2 hold the upper side windows of my Jeep YJ and 3 clips hold the rear window perfectly. There are holes in the handles that I hang on 16d nails. Some handles splintered at the holes when hung and nailed with 16d nails (holes are slightly larger so it's not a problem of a hole that's too small) if I didn't hold the clamp and prevent it from…

They won't last long outdoors

I bought a set two years ago, the last on June 3rd this year. I use them outdoors to provide shade for our plants during the summer months. I have two of the six clips from the first set and five from the second set left. Why? Look at the photos. UV and heat will kill plastic - I know that, so keep them out of direct sunlight (UV).
