Description of πŸ”’ Premium Select Heavy Weight Fiberglass Cloth: 24 Oz. Woven Roving, 25x72 - 2 Yards (12.5 Sq.Ft.)

HEAVY Weight Fiberglass Cloth. 4 to 6 times HEAVIER than surfboard cloth. Woven roving is the most economical way to include high strength rovings in a composite laminate. Roving strand bundles are simply woven loosely at 90 deg. orientation like cloth. 24 Oz woven roving is approximately 3/32" thick laminated. Comes folded as shown. Any folds can EASILY be straightened while laminating (this is common, this does not harm the material, this is not a defect.).

Heavy Duty Professional Mat,

High quality heavy duty coating. Used to repair rotten floorboards in a pickup truck. Be sure to destroy any rust on bare metal before applying mats and resin. I've been using this process on bodywork for over 30 years with no problems and it's still holding up. Easy to use, takes resin well. Super strong renovation!

Pros
  • Heavy fiberglass mat. 4-6 times heavier than surf cloth.
Cons
  • I will add later

This material is really heavy glass. I was .

This material is a very heavy glass. I used it to fix a sailboat rudder and it's too heavy to get wet in a tight spot. I didn't know what 24 ounces was but now I know it's huge. I would say this would be for flat laminated projects where more strength is required. I think the epoxy needs a bit of drying. It was my fault that I bought this fiberglass weight as I didn't know the difference between the weights. If you're doing typical dent and damage repairs on boats, I would use thinner glass…

Pros
  • Braided roving is the most economical way to incorporate high strength roving into composite laminates
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
