Beautiful design. Unfortunately, the top that holds the brush doesn't protrude far enough for the brush to hang over the bowl, and there's a padded black velvet under the stand that when wet leaves black stains on my sink.

The stand is beautifully finished and securely holds my razor and comb. A major downside, as other reviews have pointed out, is that the underside of the base is black felt material and will leave a black mark on light-colored countertops. I had to use bleach to get the black stain out. I now have a folded paper towel under the base to see if this prevents further soiling of my countertop. The time will show.

I love the look! The standing shaver does not hold my Merkur 1904 by the handle. When I hang the razor head, it hits the frame, rests askew on the blade leveling stands stretched on the stand, and a small nudge knocks it off. Looks great, but as another reviewer noted, the black felt flooring made the countertop dirty. If you have a dark countertop this may not be a problem. Holds my Baxter of California brush and Harry's razor perfectly.
